Dr. Philip Rosenthal has, over the course of a few decades, developed a substantial career in neurosurgery. The recipient of a doctor of medicine from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, he completed residency in neurological surgery at State University of New York before beginning a career in private and hospital practice. In 2012, Dr. Philip Rosenthal began a complex spine research fellowship at the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of California Davis (UC Davis) Medical Center in Sacramento, California.
Certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgery since 1994, Philip Rosenthal, MD, currently serves as principal co-investigator on a UC Davis research project entitled Surgical Treatments of Fixed Cervical Kyphosis. Since begining clinical research at UC Davis, Dr. Rosenthal has coauthored two presentations, including one presented at the 6th Annual Asian Pacific Cervical Spine Society Meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Within the past few years, he has also served as first author of articles that have appeared in the peer-reviewed publications Spine, and World Journal of Orthopedics. Dr. Rosenthal presently maintains active membership in the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
